  Lin Qingxia is finally back in full force. She will be the guest of honor again at the upcoming 33rd Hong Kong Film Festival, which will be held from March 22 to April 13.


  Yesterday, the organizing committee of the Hong Kong International Film Festival announced that in order to further recognize the contributions of Tsui Hark and Shi Nansheng to the Chinese film industry, the third Asian Film Awards held on the second day of the opening of the Hong Kong Film Festival will be awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Award" by the "Film Studio" jointly founded by the two men. The organizing committee of the festival specially invited Lin Qingxia, a screen superstar who has worked with Tsui Hark and Shi Nansheng many times, as the guest of honor to recognize the extraordinary achievements of the "Film Studio" in the past 25 years.   Reporters also learned that the new film "Shinjuku Incident" directed by Er Dongsheng and starring Jackie Chan, and the film "Night and Fog in Tin Shui Wai" directed by director Xu Anhua will be the opening films of the 33rd Hong Kong International Film Festival. The new film "Twenty-Four Cities" by mainland director Jia Zhangke was selected as the closing film of this year’s Hong Kong Film Festival. The four protagonists of the film, Chen Chong, Lu Liping, Zhao Tao and Chen Jianbin, are expected to appear at the closing ceremony.


  It is reported that the festival will also set up a special celebration, with the premiere ceremony of new films by six well-known directors, such as "Eastern Heretic Ultimate" directed by Wong Kar-wai; "W" by the famous Hollywood director Oliver Stone; "Love You for a Long Time" starring "old actor" Christine Scott Thomas; "Sharpshooter" directed by Lin Chaoxian and starring Edison Chen; "Yellow Handkerchief" starring William Hurt and DreamWorks’ latest 3D animated film "Monsters vs. Aliens". Among them, "Eastern Heretic Western Poison" will not only premiere in Hong Kong, but also officially land in mainland theaters on March 27.
