New choice of pure electric car, BMW i5 has amazing endurance performance.
[Photoelectric test after having a car] When it comes to buying a car, many consumers first think of our domestic brand models. Undoubtedly, many domestic electric vehicles have extremely bright data, and the cost performance is also high with the naked eye. Is the joint venture brand car really lacking? Today, we will test the pure battery life of a luxury brand car to see if it can save some face for the joint venture electric car.
Comment on BMW i5 in a word:
Although it is a trolley, the experience of using the i5 is really the same as that of an oil truck, and the key is to save money!
Advantages:
1, the front and rear rows of sitting posture is low, and the riding comfort is strong.
2, energy consumption is relatively low, more than 10 cents per kilometer.
3. The display effect of the rear entertainment screen is outstanding.
4. Good handling performance and accurate steering.
5. Adaptive kinetic energy recovery is easy to use
Insufficient:
1. The comfort in the middle position of the rear row is poor.
2. When the rear entertainment screen is turned on, it will affect the view of the rearview mirror.
This time, the photoelectric model is BMW i5 eDrive35L exclusive, and the battery life of CLTC is 536km. On the basis of this version, our test drive car is equipped with a lot of configurations, including head-up display, rear entertainment screen, Baohua Weijian audio and so on. It stands to reason that the endurance performance of the car should be lower than the official performance. Is this really the case? After fully charging the vehicle, we will start. The relevant vehicle settings and test roads are consistent with the previous tests, and they also appear in the form of tables in the video. You can refer to them.
After nearly 9 hours of continuous testing, we finally gave this BMW i5 exclusive model a run. In the end, its endurance performance was fixed at 600.1km, and the endurance achievement rate was close to 112%, which was more than ten percentage points higher than the previous 98% of Tesla Huan’s new version, and it was the first in the proper list! In addition, the energy consumption performance of vehicles is also excellent, with an average power consumption of only 12.6kWh/100km. These data mentioned above are very useful for a medium and large car. I have to say that ginger is still old and spicy!
However, i5 is not really a hexagonal warrior, and charging speed is its shortcoming. It is built with 400V architecture, and the maximum charging power is about 80kW on a 150kW charging pile. Compared with the current domestic 800V car, it is a bit not enough to see. I think the official doesn’t seem to say what its maximum charging power is, but some foreign media have measured 200kW on 600kW piles. When the next experience time is more abundant, we will also go to measure it.
After talking about the results of BMW i5 photoelectric test, let’s talk about three advantages and two disadvantages found during the test. Advantage 1, sitting posture is low. This is really not easy for an electric car. Whether in the front row or the back row, i5′ s sitting posture is relatively low. The advantage of this design is that drivers and passengers can easily find a comfortable sitting position. Drivers can also better perceive the dynamics of the vehicle.
Advantage 2, adaptive kinetic energy recovery is very easy to use. This is not the first time I have praised BMW’s adaptive kinetic energy recovery. It can automatically adjust the intensity of kinetic energy recovery according to the distance between the vehicle and the front vehicle. The closer it is to the front vehicle, the stronger the kinetic energy recovery is. If this function is used properly, the number of times of braking can be significantly reduced.
Advantage 3: Capacitive induction steering wheel can really make the operation easier, and it is no longer necessary to cater to the steering wheel perception with greater grip strength, as long as you put your hand on it, or even put a few fingers on it, which is in line with human nature.
After talking about the advantages, there are disadvantages. Disadvantages 1. After the rear entertainment screen is opened, it will affect the vision of the rearview mirror, and it is difficult for the driver to obtain the information behind the vehicle from the rearview mirror. If i5 has it, then the problem does not exist. In addition, when the rear entertainment screen is closed, it will also block part of the sky.
Disadvantage 2: Although the i5 is a five-seater car, only four seats can really sit comfortably. The back of the rear middle seat is hard, the head space is small, and there is an obvious bulge in the middle of the platform, which greatly affects the ride. It’s all gone. What’s this bulge for?
OK, that’s all for this BMW i5 photoelectric test. What new car do you want to see in the next issue? Let me know in the comments section.
