However, although the Crown was once popular in the domestic market, with the improvement of consumption levels and the gradual shift in demand for models to SUVs, the Crown sedan gradually drifted away in the domestic market, and finally officially discontinued production in April last year. But will the Crown go away? No, it won’t. At the Shanghai Auto Show in April this year, FAW Toyota announced that the Crown will return to the Chinese market as its new high-end sub-brand, and its first SUV model based on the Toyota TNGA-K platform – the Crown Lu Fang also landed.

On August 27th, FAW Toyota Crown Land was officially launched. The new car launched a total of 6 models, priced 27.58-35 800 yuan. From the price point of view, the new car is much higher than the new Highlander of GAC Toyota, which can be said to be the high-end taste of Toyota Crown.

In terms of appearance, although the design of the new car was born out of Highlander, it was designed more radically than the latter new car. The front face adopts the same sports kit as the US version of Highlander XSE models, and the overall visual effect is more aggressive. In the center of the network, the crown LOGO is added, which can be said to inherit the classic.

On the side of the car, the new car uses black A-pillars to create a certain sense of suspension. The two-color rearview mirrors, black luggage racks and other contrasting designs are also popular design elements at the moment. The double waist line is dynamic and smooth, outlining a strong sense of movement. From the rear of the car, the new car is relatively full as a whole, the rear bumper adopts a multi-layer structure design, the black trim is matched with a silver trim that runs through, and the circular exhaust effect of unilateral double-sided is full of visual movement.

In terms of interior, the new car adopts the latest family design style. The car is equipped with a full LCD instrument panel and a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and the middle of the steering wheel is also inlaid with the "Crown" logo. In terms of configuration, FAW Toyota Crown Land Display is not only equipped with HUD head-up display system, multimedia navigator and LCD instrument panel. It is also equipped with a series of high-tech configurations such as intelligent interconnection system, facial recognition system, kick induction electric tailgate, etc. These configurations can further improve the overall driving experience.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a hybrid system (2.5HEV) based on a 2.5L four-cylinder engine, of which the maximum power of the 2.5L engine is 192Ps (141kW), the peak torque is 238N · m, and the transmission system is matched with an E-CVT gearbox. In terms of motors, the two-wheel drive version is equipped with a 134kW motor, and the four-wheel drive version adds a 40kW rear motor. Overall, the combined output power of this HEV powertrain is 249Ps (183kW).
